Join us for Cinco De Mayo! We'll have a taco bar with an awesome spread of toppings, plus a themed photo area, crafts and tie dye. During this weekend, we will also have a Cabin Open House. Campers and interested members of our community are invited to tour our cabins.

Help us fundraise during the annual Big Weekend for Care Camps!

Stay with us on May 10 & 11, 2024, and 50%* of the cost of the site on the second night will be donated to Care Camps! (Book Your Stay Here!)

Throughout the weekend, we'll have special events to raise funds for Care Camps, including a chance to throw a pie in the face of some of our staff! We will also have carnival-inspired activities, crafts, bingo, fun train rides, and tie dye.

Your stay will make a difference in the lives of children with cancer, by helping raise funds for medically supervised Care Camps across North America. Funds raised from the Saturday, May 11 campground donation support the KOA Care Camps Trust, which distributes more than $1 million annually to support 125+ Care Camps. Learn more at carecamps.org.

We're in need of a hero! All superheroes and their families are invited for our Superhero Weekend, which will include activities like an obstacle course, fun train rides, bingo, campground crafts and tie dye souvenirs.

This weekend celebrates the bravery of our local first responders! We will have a fire truck and police cars onsite with an opportunity for campers to meet some of our local firefighters and police officers. We will also have a 50/50 raffle, with the proceeds being donated to first responders in our community. Plus, we'll have campground crafts, tie dye, bingo and fun train rides.

Follow the yellow brick road to our Autumn of Oz Weekend! The campground will have Oz-inspired decorations, bingo, train rides down the KOA yellow brick road, a movie night and tie dye.

Our campground is open all year long! Enjoy the peaceful serenity of winter in the mountains with a holiday celebration at the Asheville East KOA. During these days, we'll have photos with Santa, letters to Santa writing, crafts and tie dye.

Visiting the Biltmore during spring is one of the best times to take in this stunning estate's charm. While it's open for tours year-round, the Biltmore's 8,000 acres bloom to life with all its beautiful flora. Stroll through its seemingly endless gardens and count how many different colors you can spot along the way. While you are there, sample some of the award-winning wines at their elegant winery.

Whether you are an artist yourself or just want an excuse to get to know the area, this event is definitely one to add to your calendar. Visit the region's artistic hub and head home with some of the finest handcrafted creations by visiting Asheville Art in the Park. Downtown Asheville truly comes to life during this event during June and October. Speak with nationally known artists and get up close and personal with some of their best work while you take a stroll through Pack Square Park. Every year, this event brings artists from every discipline, including glass, ceramics, wood, jewelry and metal, allowing you to glimpse unique creations you will not find anywhere else. You might even walk away with the perfect gift for your friends or family.

Start off the Summer season with a 5K footrace through Hendersonville, NC! Participants can run or walk through a beautiful neighborhood, with a delicious cold beer waiting to greet you at the finish line. This race begins and ends at Trailside Brewing at Lennox Station.

Artisans in the Southern Highland Craft Guild span across nine states. Twice a year, they gather in Harrah's Cherokee Center and fill the concourse and arena areas with a variety of craft exhibits. Patrons can shop vendors who work with clay, metal, wood, fiber, glass, paper, leather, mixed media and jewelry. Experience the transformative power of yoga and wellness during this four-day festival of movement, music, connect & adventure. There will be a diverse group of renowned yoga teachers, wellness experts and spiritual leaders from around the country leading over 75 workshops and classes. There is also a marketplace, outdoor adventures, and live music.

Experience Southern Appalachian traditions and culture during this three-day festival. With multiple stages, you'll be able to see a wide array of performances which include Bluegrass music, century-old ballads, high-energy clogging, elegant Big Circle Mountain Smooth Dance, story-telling and educational sessions.

If you love music, the AVLFest is a must-attend event. AVLFest is a music and arts festival taking you on a wild four-day adventure through 20 of the area's finest venues. You get access to over 100 shows from local, regional and national music groups like Nikki Lane and Chatham County Line. Your passes even offer unique discounts at tons of businesses and restaurants around Asheville. Regardless of your music tastes, this event is a great way to explore the city and find your next favorite music artist!

Enjoy the sweet taste of locally-produced Sourwood Honey during this small town festival. The community of Black Mountain comes together to celebrate bees and their honey with this annual event, which features over 200 vendors, festival foods, live music, and more. It's also a great opportunity to check out Black Mountain's restaurants, galleries and shops.

Celebrate Asheville's African-American community with thousands of other people at the Goombay Festival. This yearly event has been running since 1982 to honor various African cultures and traditions. It's a free-to-attend festival in downtown Asheville that runs for an entire weekend, allowing you and your family to experience new foods, listen to exciting music and purchase one-of-a-kind crafts. The area is filled with unique food trucks serving various dishes with various flavors, like jerk chicken, ox tail, and curry goat. Once your stomach is full, head to the dance floor to bust a move while listening to a wide variety of live music, including reggae, funk and soul.

Head to the Pack Square Park in Asheville for a day filled with love. The Blue Ridge Pride Festival is now going on its 13th year, celebrating the rights and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. It starts with a huge procession through the streets of Asheville, heading right into the park to kick off the entire event. This all-day event provides access to over 200 local vendors, including artists, non-profits and small businesses. Eat great food, watch entertaining performances and support a wonderful community-based organization.
